abstract = "The aim of this paper is to analyses the carbon sequestration
during to different seasons in Brasilia, Distrito Federal. For
this analysis we used the images provided by the new sensor
Sentinel 2. The images were downloaded using the low quantity of
cloud criteria and looking for two different dates corresponding
to the drought and rain season. The images were georeferenced
using the software ENVI 5.1. For the analysis of carbon
sequestration, we used the index CO2Flux, which consists in the
combination of the Normalized Differenced Vegetation Index (NDVI)
and the Photochemical Reflectance Index. Were applied an arbitrary
transect in the results in two different directions. The data of
this transect were transferred to a graph. The variations of the
season could be seen with the different shades of gray,
principally when the vegetation are concentrated near water zones.
The graphs showed differences in the two seasons, showing high
values of CO2 sequestration during the rainy season, when the
water is more available for the vegetation. The new satellite
provided an interesting data with high spatial resolution to make
the carbon sequestration analysis and potentially other vegetation
                         dynamics analysis.",
